It's that time of year when the beautiful purple lupines start showing their colors here in Downeast Maine. Every year their arrival is celebrated on Deer Isle with the Annual Lupine Festival, and this year marks the 10th anniversary of this special event. From June 17-19 activities ranging from garden tours, a local foods supper, open artist studios, boat, plane and schooner trips, a quilt show and craft fair, and kids activities will take place on Deer Isle -- all in celebration of the lupine. To view a complete listing of activities take a peek at the Lupine Festival Brochure
from the Deer Isle-Stonington Chamber of Commerce.
Here at Pilgrim's Inn we have been carefully spreading lupine seed from the prior year's flowers and over the last several years are seeing a beautiful display of color in our field above the inn. When you book a room at Pilgrim's Inn the weekend of June 17th, you'll receive 10% off of your room rate, and a beautiful lupine canvas bag. To make a reservation just go to our Rooms and Rates page
